OK - I'm a free-lance web designer/developer out of philadelphia. I'm currently a tattoo apprentice at Philadelphia Eddie's in Chinatown. I teach Muay Thai at Cool Hearts in Northern Liberties and I really like new Hip Hop.
I went to art school in philadelphia and sort-of just stayed here. I’ve been using my BFA to earn a living since I graduated, which included working at a few firms over the last few years as a front-end web-developer. I’ve been sustaining myself as a designer of webs (and other things) during this time and I choose to venture off on my own and play the free lance game in 2008 because I’d rather surf and play in bands, over sitting at a desk. So, here I am.
I develop sites on WordPress because I believe I can make it do anything I want and it has a very user-friendly admin. I’ve spent a fair amount of time as a back-end dev but i’d rather put my efforts other places. I like designing – I think I’m good at it.
After being in the web design field for about 10 years I’m looking into changing directions, so – now I’m a tattoo apprentice. Sometimes you gotta make some moves, you know? I’m still taking on new work and making website, just not as many.
